LE MOT DU PRESIDENT  / THE WORD OF THE PRESIDENT

Madame, Monsieur,  et/ou cher(e)s ami(e)s, dear friends,

Ceci est la troisième Lettre électronique du Global local forum qui est désormais bimestrielle.  Elle a pour objet de vous informer, et de vous associer si vous le souhaitez, aux travaux de notre think tank international, dans le cadre d'un networking.   Une bonne appréhension de la complexité d’un monde en pleine mutation implique nécessairement la participation de tous les acteurs et en particulier celle des collectivités territoriales et de leurs associations qui, en leur sein,  organisent aussi le dialogue, un dialogue décloisonné, concerté, structuré. Nous voulons pour cela rester attentifs à tous les regards, ou, en tous cas, à toutes les perceptions, celles  de nos amis, de nos frères et soeurs d'un peu partout à travers le monde. Ce dialogue nous le poursuivons désormais avec le Centre de développement de l’OCDE. J'avais ainsi été convié par Angel GURRIA et Mario PEZZINI à débattre le 6 octobre dernier  lors du 14^ème Forum international sur le développement économique de l’Afrique ouvert par Mme Nkosazana Dlamini ZUMA, présidente de la Commission de l’Union Africaine..

This is the third electronic newsletter from Global Local Forum, which from now on will be bimonthly. The objective of the newsletter is to inform you of, and (if you wish) to associate you with, the work of our Think Tank in a networking framework. A good understanding of the complexity of a changing world must involve the participation of all, particularly the local authorities and their partners who, among themselves, also organize a dialogue that is seamless, well organized, and structured. We would like to stay attentive to all who are watching, especially to the perceptions of our friends, brothers, and sisters who are scattered across the world. The dialogue will now be continued with the Center of Development of the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development). I was thus invited by Angel GURRIA and Mario PEZZINI to a debate the 6^th of October for the 14^th International Forum on the economic development of Africa, opened by Mrs. Nkosazana Dlamini ZUMA, president of the African Union Commission.

Le 14^ème Forum économique international de l’OCDE sur l’Afrique qui vient de se dérouler au Palais de La Muette, à Paris, fut l’occasion, pour le Global local forum de pouvoir apporter notre modeste contribution à l’analyse des grands défis auxquels l’Afrique est confrontée.   /  The 14th International Economic Forum of the OECD Africa which has just taken place at the Palais de la Muette in Paris, was an opportunity for the local Global Forum to make a modest contribution to the analysis of the challenge  about Africa.  La suite
